What is eDesign?

Natalie is currently offering online interior design services through a method called edesign. E-design is virtual interior design completed fully online through email communication in a simple 4 step process.

This means you can work directly with Natalie regardless of where you live!

Is eDesign right for you?

We understand eDesign is not for every one but there are so many advantages that many of our clients love. Compared to traditional interior design services, eDesign is much more affordable and has a faster timeline from start to final install!

It does require a little bit of hands-on work from the client as they are responsible for sending their measurements and photos, ordering product, and putting items in their place. But again, eDesign helps you save big (aprox 70%) in design fees!

THE 4 STEP PROCESS:

Step 1: Questionnaire

After purchasing your design package, Natalie will send you a questionnaire to get to know you and your project better. This simple questionnaire asks you questions about your design style, how you would like to use the space, and what budget you would like to stay within.

Step 2: Measurements & Photos

Next, Natalie will give you instructions on how to easily send her photos and measurements of the room. This will allow Natalie to put together a simple floor plan to ensure the space flows well and all furniture pieces are the correct scale.

Please note: floor plans are only for placement reference and are not to be used as construction drawings. Floor plans are only provided if multiple pieces of furniture are being sourced.

Step 3: Design Presentation

Natalie will get to work putting together your design presentation (typically takes 2 weeks).

Your digital design presentation includes a design board showing all the items Natalie is recommending for the space and a budget of the new items.

Please Note: Most clients love the original design and are ready to move forward to ordering product but we understand there may be a couple items in the original design you want to change. The edesign package includes up to 3 product revisions. Additional revisions are $75 each.

Step 4: Ordering Product

Last, Natalie will send you a shopping list with links to all the products so you can shop at your own pace. Equipped with your floor plan, you’ll know exactly where to place all items in the room as they arrive!

      • Simple floor plan (if sourcing multiple furniture pieces)
      • Budget breaking down the cost of the suggested items
      • Max of 3 product revisions (if needed)
      • Shopping list with links to all the selected items

The price is $950/room. If you have multiple rooms, you can change the quantity before checking out or you can reach out to Natalie for a custom quote.

Natalie works with all budgets but if the budget is small then she will be very limited on what retailers she can shop and the overall design may be affected.

If you are unsure what a reasonable budget is, it helps to look at prices for a few furniture items from your favorite store. For example, even if you shopped all budget-friendly retailers (think Target pricing), a typical living room would still run around $5,000.

There’s so many variables that can affect the budget such as: what items are needed, your style, quality level, and furniture size.

If you are wanting Natalie to source product from her high-end, designer-exclusive vendors then a typical living room design would start around $10,000.

Natalie will provide you links to online retailers that are within your budget. She shops a wide variety of trusted retailers but she can source from specific retailers if you prefer.

If the budget allows, Natalie has access to hundreds of designer-exclusive vendors that you are able to purchase directly through her designer portal. These items are a higher quality and are typically only available to interior designers.

Keep in mind, Natalie’s design fees for sourcing an item are typically around $150.

Great! During the photos & measurement step you will just include photos and measurements of any items you want to keep in the room. In most cases, Natalie will be able to work the items into the design!

Natalie is the principal designer and handles all eDesign projects from start to finish. All sourcing, designing, and communication is done directly with Natalie.

The eDesign package includes the design for 1 room. A living room, kitchen, office, dining room, bedroom, etc. are all considered an individual room and would require a separate package.

If your room is smaller (ex. entry) or you don’t need help with many selections in the space, use the contact section below to get a custom quote.

The max size of a room is 400 sq ft. If your room is larger than that, please use the contact section below to get a custom quote (pricing is determined on amount of selections required so it’s possible you won’t need to upgrade the package).

If you have an open concept great room (living, dining, kitchen), I would recommend using the contact form below to get a custom quote as you likely wouldn’t need to purchase 3 full design packages if one of the areas (such as the kitchen) only needs a few item selections.

About Natalie

Natalie is a wife and mama that loves to travel and has a soft spot for Parisian pastries, her English bulldog (Rosie), and porch swings.

She received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wyoming and has worked in the interior design industry for the past decade.

She spent several years working as an Interior Designer in both high-end luxury firms as well as budget-friendly ones. Natalie has worked with clients of every design style and she prides herself in always tailoring the design to the client’s individual style!

Natalie is also formally trained as a merchandiser and was a buyer and stylist for design showrooms, furniture stores, and home decor boutiques. 

Now Natalie spends her free time mentoring new interior designers. She created an online academy to teach others how to launch their own interior design business and also mentors 1-on-1.

Being an edesigner has allowed Natalie to work-from-home with her 2 kids and to help people from all over the country transform their spaces into beautiful homes they are proud of!
