Coastal Farmhouse Dining Room

One of my favorite design styles is a mix of coastal and farmhouse. Both design styles are actually very similar as they share many of the same design elements such as: shiplap, bead board, soft neutral color pallets, rustic woods, woven elements, and lots of texture.

This beautiful coastal farmhouse dining room was designed by Nastasi Vail Designs and features the perfect mix of traditional farmhouse and clean coastal. Here is what Natasi had to say about the project:

Just outside of Portland Maine, in the small town of Buxton, a little Victorian farmhouse and barn sat lonely and neglected. Lack of maintenance and a harsh climate had weathered it to the point that no one seemed to think it worth saving. When our client found it the local fire department had plans to burn it down. Thankfully she had imagination and a vision. It is an on going project, but after only a year and a half the transformation is dramatic.

What do you think of this coastal famhouse inspired dining room? Would you have done anything differently? I can’t think of anything I would change, the designer thought of everything – even down to the accessories!
