Modern Coastal Entry Way Inspiration

round dining table used in modern coastal entry ways, great for grand foyers makes a large impact and easy to accessorize

An entry way is the first impression a guest has of your home so it’s important that it’s warm and inviting. There are several ways to make an entry way more function including adding a console table with a bowl to drop your keys when you come in, a mirror for guests to check their appearance when they enter, and a nearby coatrack or coat closet for guests to drop their jackets. The following modern coastal entry ways are some of my favorite looks and include all the product links so you can shop the look!

Large Open Foyer:

Large foyer type entries can be difficult to style because they often have a lot of open floor space but very little wall space. The perfect solution is a large round table which makes a great statement piece in the middle of the space. You can style it with a large oversized plant or orchid, a stack of books, candle sticks, and sculptural objects. Don’t forget to add in a large oversized rug to make the space feel more grounded and cohesive.

Extra Storage Space:

If the space allows, a cabinet in your entry way will not only anchor the space but also provide additional storage. Opting for a piece with drawers with allow you to easily store seasonal items like scarves, hats, and gloves. Inside the cabinet shelves you can store bulkier items such as winter coats or items you don’t quite have a spot for elsewhere (like grandma’s china).

Asymmetrical Console Table:

For most entry ways, you will have a tighter space to work with. Console tables are a great way to still create a beautiful vignette without taking up a lot of space. Most console tables will come in very shallow depths so they won’t take up much floor space. Pair it with a mirror that has a beautiful detail like this bone inlay mirror. For an asymmetrical look, add a large oversized lamp on one side and fresh florals or greenery on the other side.

Symmetrical Console Table:

Similar to the style above, you can create a beautiful console vignette but focus more on an overall symmetrical look. A symmetrical entry way works best if your design style is more classic or traditional. Start with a pair of tall lamps on either end, then add some type of oversized structural element in the middle such as this large vase and greenery. Last, add a single stool in the middle or you could also add a pair evenly centered. If you want to create a modern coastal entry way, add a fun graphic wallpaper that includes a coastal motif.
